Spiranthes spiralis is often known as Autumn Lady´s Tresses. In wild this species species grows in dry, open, limey places, often in enviroments strongly affected by man. It grows in almost whole Europe, lacking only the nothest parts of our continent. The northest natural place where it grows is in Denmark, where it is extremely rare. It has been planted to Öland, Sweden, where it has started to spread. It shouldn´t be any huge rarity there. Sardinia. Italy.
